Here is my baby : a '70 Cuda I bought 20 years ago like new, with a 440 and a auto trans. Soon I started to convert this car into a "pro street" and after a full race car. Now there is less than 50 lbs remaining from the Mopar origin. Andy Robinson Race cars (http://www.robinson-race-cars.co.uk/) in Great Britain built for me a very nice full round tube chassis. The engine is now a 572 Alu. Keith Black with a 3 speed Lencodrive and a fabricated rear axle. The car ran for the first try a pleasuring 8.46" - 158mph w/1.16" 60ft on the British Santa Pod racetrack. I usually go every year to the Las Vegas Sema show for my own business, it's there where I first met Dennis Radford with his '70 Cuda Pro mod. He gave me a lot of inspiration for the paint job of my car. Hop my poor English is good enough to be understood. More news about my car later !

So how much more does it cost building something that nice in France. Does the shipping add like 10% to the cost. Where do you buy most of the parts? Does the difference in the Euro vs the dollar help any? Any tips on buying overseas.

It cost me a leg to build (something around $140,000) The shipping is nothing compare to the customs nearly 40% more to the US price as soon as the parts touch the French ground ! The car was built by the king of the promod in Great Britain (they don't know how to cook even a hot dog but they are very good in race cars) http://www.robinson-race-cars.co.uk/ He is the European Pro mod champion with his Studbaker. His knowledge and background can't be challenged. Of course the euro vs $ is a good help for me. But my business is to import American car parts for the French market, here is my website http://www.monsieurmustang.com/, so I'm naturally helped.....
